Audio, soundtracks, music
Record shops had a choice of train soundtracks in the 60's not to mention motorcycle and car racing soundtracks. Dragster racing being a favourite sound of mine! Then there are songs and music both pop and orchestral of train related themes. I could do with an article on this! Country and westarn songs abound "City of New Orleans" and I loved the "Wells Fargo" theme when I was young but cannot remember the sound now! It went from sounds of horses galloping, stage coaches through to steam trains. The folk music as well as country music should have some songs and lyrics. Lost Property Goldmine

Train and Engineer songs
This is just one of the great memorials to Casey Jones and I remember his name and courage so well thanks to the poem set to music that was so often played in the 1950's. Other famous poems include The Tay Bridge disaster, with an account from Charles Dickens I believe. Just search any name you think may have a song about it and look for it. If you want help specifically to find music there are search engines with that built in. I use Automator Pro multi search engine and Excite Search engine.
